Acupuncture

Veterinary acupuncture is one of a variety of therapies that a trained veterinarian may use to treat your animal. Most simply stated, acupuncture is the stimulation of specific points on the body which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions in order to achieve the desired effect. It is a means of helping the body heal itself.

Acupuncture has been used for over 4,000 years on animals as well as humans. As a matter of fact, for one-quarter of the world’s population it is still the treatment choice for many problems. It is not a cure all, but where it is indicated it works well. This is why it is being utilized by an increasing number of veterinarians for various conditions.
